The challenge: Inventory management was difficult and riddled with errors
Whilst Treat Resort Group prides itself in delivering a modern and exceptional guest experience; its OTA inventory management was stuck in the past. Till about years ago, rate and inventory updates had to be made manually via the extranet of online channels.
This led to a range of issues across both group properties, including the inability to run a dynamic price strategy to drive revenue optimisation, errors when updating rates and inventory as the process was manual across multiple online channels, and less than optimal use of staff time. It was all too much to input manually, and the growing needs of the group meant that the online channels would only increase.
STAAH was a welcome investment
After assessing multiple channel managers, the team at Treat Resort Group settled with STAAH Channel Manager, choosing it for its “intuitive back-end that lets users streamline availability and rates from a single dashboard,” says Vivek Mundra, Director from Treat Resort Group.
Looking to grow commission-free direct bookings as a channel, Treat Resort Group also signed up to STAAH ConvertDirect booking engine.
“We use different rate plans and promo codes using STAAH,” says Vivek, “and this is been great to effectively drive up revenue. Traffic scripts help us identify campaign sources so campaign marketing is data-led and more efficient.”
Vivek also points to RateSTalk, a STAAH feature they find very handy as it allows them to quickly make a comparison against competitors and adjust rates accordingly.
“In today’s hyper-competitive market, keeping a finger on the pulse of the market is critical. RateSTalk enables this from a single dashboard through which rates and inventory are updated. “The rates management process is seamless, from insights to updates,” adds Vivek.
Marching ahead
“Since joining the STAAH network, we have steadily improved our occupancy and revenue through online channels,” says Vivek.
Treat Resort Group has increased the number of online channels in its remit resulting in more online bookings. More importantly, the increase in channels has not come packaged with increased administration time in making the updates or errors.
