Scenarios like this are becoming increasingly common as the concept of day use rooms gains popularity. As a hotelier, optimizing your revenue streams is crucial in the competitive hospitality industry, and day use rooms present an innovative solution that is gaining traction.

Day use rooms are designed to cater to the needs of travelers who require a comfortable space for a portion of the day, rather than an overnight stay. They offer numerous benefits for both hotels and guests.

  • Direct & Easy Communication: The Day Use Room feature could be used by guests where they could select the pre-defined package as per the description set up by the property.

How to setup Day Use Rooms on Swiftbook Booking Engine?

Step 1: Login to STAAH Max V2 

Day Use 1Step 2: Click on BE Packages

Day Use 2Step 3: Click on ‘+’ and then New Package

Day Use 3Step 4: Fill the necessary Package Info & ‘Enable package for Day Use’

Day Use 4Step 5: Add Room Type and Validity information, and click on Save

SwiftBook Widget

Enabling the ‘package for day use’ flag automatically prompts a ‘Day Use’ selection on the booking engine widget.

Day Use 5How does it work for guests?

1) When the ‘day use’ option is selected, the widget will only have a ‘check-in’ date option.

Day Use 62) On the confirmation page and the email confirmation, the check-in & check-out date will be the same.

  • The Day Use rate is not supported by Google for synchronization to avoid parity issues. Day Use data is not synced with Google.
  • For properties integrated with a Property Management System (PMS), Day Use bookings are delivered to the PMS as normal, with a different departure date.
  • If the PMS supports using the same date for arrival and departure, the Day Use feature can be enabled, and the same arrival and departure date will be passed in the booking.
  • This Day Use feature is currently enabled only for a few PMS partners. If there are any other PMS that can support Day Use, please contact the technical team to arrange integration with the PMS partner.
  • The PMS that currently support the Day Use feature are:
    1. Innkey
    2. Lucid
    3. Protel
