At STAAH, we continuously enhance our technology to help our partners operate more efficiently. As part of this commitment, we’re excited to introduce Partial ARI Update, a new feature in our Channel Connect API, designed to give OTAs greater control, flexibility, and performance optimization.
Why This Matters for OTAs
We understand that not every OTA requires all ARI (Availability, Rates, Inventory, Restrictions) updates at all times. Sending unnecessary data can increase API traffic and impact system performance.
With Partial ARI Update, you can now decide exactly which ARI components STAAH sends to your system, ensuring updates align with your business logic and operational needs.
How Partial ARI Update Works
OTAs can selectively disable specific ARI components:
- Disable Inventory Updates → STAAH will not send <inventory> data
- Disable Rate Updates → STAAH will not send <rate> data
- Disable Restriction Updates → STAAH will not send <restrictions> data
This selective approach ensures you receive only the data that matters to you — reducing API load and improving overall system efficiency.
Impact on Your Integration
For Rate Plan Manageable = Y
- By default, STAAH continues to send Inventory, Rates, and Restrictions
- You can request specific components to be disabled
- Updates can be customized per rate plan based on hotelier requirements
For Rate Plan Manageable = N
- No change in behavior
- ARI data will not be sent
- These rate plans remain mapped for booking retrieval only
Key Benefits for OTAs
- Optimized API traffic – fewer unnecessary updates
- Greater control – tailor ARI data flow to your platform’s logic
- Improved efficiency – focus only on relevant data
Next Steps
- Review this enhancement and confirm your readiness to adopt Partial ARI Update
- Once confirmed, we will enable the feature for your OTA
- If preferred, we can first configure it on a test property before going live
Please note: This enhancement is opt-in and will not impact your existing integration unless you choose to enable it.
