Integrating a property management system (PMS) with a channel manager is like orchestrating a symphony – every instrument must be in sync to create harmony. 


With the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP), hotels can smoothly connect to OPERA PMS, much like a conductor guiding musicians with precision. OHIP’s open architecture and powerful API capabilities act as the perfect score, ensuring each note – reservations, availability, and rates – flows effortlessly between OPERA PMS and STAAH. 

This guide serves as your sheet music, outlining the essential steps for a flawless integration performance.

Step 1: Initiation and Agreement

  • Register for OHIP via shop.oracle.com and gain access to OPERA PMS’ API environment.
  • Contact your OHIP Account Manager or Sales Representative to express interest in connecting with STAAH.
  • Discuss licensing, API access, and associated costs to ensure financial clarity.
  • Collaborate with Oracle Hospitality coordinators and STAAH representatives to establish integration requirements and timelines.

Step 2: Configuration and API Mapping

  • Provide necessary OPERA Cloud configuration data to STAAH for smooth API integration.
  • Work with STAAH to map the integration between OPERA PMS and STAAH, aligning data fields and communication pathways.
  • Utilize OHIP’s intuitive API documentation and Postman Collections for testing common processes like reservation management and room updates.

Step 3: Testing, Monitoring, and Maintenance

  • Conduct test reservations to verify the seamless data flow between OPERA Cloud and STAAH.
  • Troubleshoot sync failures by reviewing API logs, engaging OHIP’s Slack-based support community, and collaborating with STAAH and Oracle support teams.
