At STAAH, we are committed to continuously improving our systems to deliver smarter, faster, and more efficient connectivity for our partners.
As part of this ongoing commitment, we are excited to announce an important update to our cron job logic, designed to reduce unnecessary requests and optimize performance across both our systems and yours.
What’s New?
The enhanced script now periodically reviews recent error logs to identify mappings that have returned specific error responses, including:
- Invalid hotel code
- Invalid room ID
- Invalid rate ID
- Invalid contract ID
Smarter Error Handling Logic
The key upgrade lies in how these errors are interpreted and actioned:
- Mappings with no successful transactions during the review window and returning only the above errors will be automatically deactivated.
- Mappings with at least one successful transaction will remain active, even if they encountered some of these errors.
This ensures that only truly non-functional mappings are paused, while healthy ones continue running seamlessly.
Gradual Rollout Across OTAs
We have rolled out this enhancement for a few OTAs, and it will be implemented for all connected OTAs gradually.
What This Means to Connectivity partners?
- Your system will no longer receive unnecessary requests triggered by invalid or non-functional mappings.
- Overhead is reduced, boosting overall system efficiency.
- You benefit from a cleaner, more streamlined integration focused on valid, real-time data exchanges.
Looking Ahead
This enhancement marks another step forward in making our integration smarter, more reliable, and partner-friendly.
Thank you for being a valued connectivity partner as we continue to evolve and strengthen the STAAH ecosystem.
