About Sala Lodges

 Not just any hotel, Sala Lodges offer guests an authentic Cambodian experience laced in luxury. Located close to the architectural site of Angkor, the property features 11 traditional wooden houses on stilts within an ‘idyllic village’ setting. Away from the hustle and bustle of city, the lodges take you deep into a genuine Cambodian world.

Conscious of the environment it thrives within, Sala Lodges are proud to contribute towards the preservation of the architectural heritage of Angkor, which is threatened to extinction.

The Challenge

Sala Lodges was listed across multiple online travel agents (OTAs), including booking.com, Expedia.com, Asiatravel.com, Prestige.com and Splendia.com. In the absence of a central management system, the Sala Lodges team found themselves spending a lot of time updating these sites individually. Besides the time factor, the process was ridden with errors due to the time lag in updating every site.

“We really needed something that would help us update rates and inventory instantly, in real-time, across OTAs to be truly global and honour our rate parity agreements at all times,” says Dos So, Sales & Revenue Manager for Sala Lodges.

The efficiency issues led the Sala Lodges team to explore their options.

“We wanted a tool that would help address our concerns so we can focus on delivering a greater guest experience and improving our service.”

STAAH came highly recommended by the industry. “For us STAAH was a first venture into online systems and technology!” says Dos So.

 The key measures of success for Sala Lodges before they signed on the dotted line with STAAH were the ease of use and improving efficiency in managing – and growing – distribution channels.

“It took only a few days to get set-up and trained on the STAAH platform,” says Dos So. “The system is very user-friendly and we saw the benefits almost immediately.”

Dos So talks about the reduced time spent in making updates to OTAs and error-free distribution due to the updates being made in real-time.

“We also saw a 5-10% lift in bookings since signing up to STAAH.”
