STAAH’s latest report identifies the ten most influential booking channels shaping India’s hotel performance throughout 2025.
STAAH, a global leader in distribution technology for the hospitality sector, has announced the Top 10 Hotel Booking Channels in India for 2025, highlighting the platforms that delivered the highest booking volumes to accommodation providers across the country.
The insights are drawn from STAAH’s extensive network of partner properties and the booking data processed between January and December 2025. This year’s list reflects a continued rise in domestic travel demand, the influence of value-driven consumers, and the growing popularity of direct booking tools.
GoMMT continues to dominate India’s online travel market, maintaining its position as the leading platform. Its dominance is driven by its wide inventory, competitive pricing, and strong appeal to both business and leisure travellers.
Agoda’s mobile-first strategy, increased marketing investment and attractive loyalty incentives have helped it secure the number two position this year. Booking.com retained its number three spot while cleartrip’s affordability combined with a robust airline offering has seen more travelers choosing this platform, clawing up two positions on the STAAH top 10 list.
Direct bookings via STAAH SwiftBook came in at number five as hoteliers continue to prioritise this commission saving channel that gives accommodation providers far greater brand control.
New entrants to the top 10 list, travelguru, easemytrip and hyperguest are a reflection of the robust expansion of India’s travel and tourism sector.
“OTAs continue to play a critical role in amplifying reach and driving high-intent traffic for hotels across India. At the same time, we’re seeing properties invest more in strengthening their direct channels to build loyalty and optimise revenue,” says Shoaib Ali, National Sales Head, STAAH India Ltd.
“The most successful hotels in 2025 are those striking the right balance, leveraging OTAs for visibility while ensuring their direct booking experience is seamless and compelling,” Shoaib continues.
According to recent industry analysis, India remains one of the world’s most resilient and fast-expanding travel markets, buoyed by increasing discretionary spending, improved air and road connectivity and a growing appetite for premium and personalised travel experiences. Domestic tourism is expected to remain a dominant force, while international interest in India as a destination continues to strengthen.
“Indian travellers are more experience-driven, digitally empowered and value-focused than ever before,” says Shoaib. “They are turning to mobile-first booking tools and flexible travel options as their primary decision-drivers. This evolution is certainly reflected in the rankings we are seeing for 2025 and hoteliers should continue to base their distribution decisions based on these evolving traveller needs.”
