STAAH Completes Integration with Indonesia’s Leading Payment Gateway

The partnership between electronic payment service provider DOKU and STAAH will enable seamless online transactions for our growing South East Asian properties.

“This partnership will bring fresh online traffic to our hospitality merchants – specifically in Bali – while enabling STAAH’s customers to accept multi-payment channel of their choice in Indonesian local currency,” says Himelda Renuat, Chief Marketing Officer, DOKU.“We are excited and looking forward to seeing positive growth from this partnership.”

DOKU is the largest and fastest growing provider of electronic payments in Indonesia. It boasts enviable growth statistics with more than 25,000 merchant partners of varied sizes, 15 banks and nearly 30 methods of payment. In the year ended 2016, DOKU grew at a staggering 30%.On the consumer front, the DOKU e-wallet is a popular alternative to credit cards. More than 1.5 million consumers use the DOKU e-wallet service.

“This integration reinforces our commitment to partner with technology leaders that deliver significant value to accommodation providers,” says Patrick Lopez, Chief Operating Officer, STAAH Ltd. “Both DOKU and STAAH are committed to providing solutions that enable hospitality businesses to compete more effectively.”

STAAH recently confirmed its strategy to penetrate the Southeast Asian region for business growth and sustainability. Its cloud-based technology solutions, which include a channel manager and booking engine, are gaining popularity with local accommodation providers for their performance, affordability, ease of use and service support. The company has invested in a bigger team and grown its client base by 100% in the last two years.

“Linking to a secure and quick payment gateway is very important for Asian properties,” says Patrick. “No-shows, which are reasonably high in this part of the world, and can be damaging to small businesses.

DOKU has been actively supporting local businesses, including accommodation providers, to establish their online presence by enabling various payment options and at the same time securely processing their online transactions.
